Our websites and hosting are aimed at giving excellent value for money.  There is the opportunity, through carrying advertising such as AdSense, to offset costs that is worth considering.

Lightbox

We have used Lightbox for the image enlargement on this page - a method of seeing a full-size image without leaving the page.

Google AdSense

We use AdSense across all our sites to finance them.  If the pages are well enough written the AdSense is relevant and useful to your visitors.  As site owner you get paid whenever a visitor clicks on an AdSense link. The link at the beginning of the paragraph gives a full explanation.  It is free to register, and we have found AdSense much more effective than we expected.

We have made a close analysis of what AdSense layouts work best by tracking the performance of different types and placements of AdSense. We are frequently asked to advise fellow webmasters on AdSense use as we have developed an excellent reputation in the online community for optimal use of AdSense.

If you decide to use AdSense the site has to be designed with that in mind.  We find that wide skyscrapers (as in the left column) are very eye-catching, the text link across the top of the page also works well. 

Google AdWords

There will be times when you may feel that you would like to drive extra traffic to your site by buying Google AdWords. These are the results that appear on the right side of the Google Search Results pages and in AdSense advertisements. The beauty of the AdWords programme is that you can turn it on and off as you need it. You can also choose what sites you would like it to appear on, and even particular pages of a site. 

It is extremely effective because even when you are not getting any click-throughs you are achieving recognition for your name.  We are happy to help you implement an AdWords programme.
